A German security researcher, Stefan Esser has developed a new
iPhone app that will tell you instantly if your phone has been tampered
with – and if you’re being ‘watched’ by h*ckers.
The app named System and Security Info detects whether a device has
been ‘jailbroken’ – modified to allow the device to run non-Apple
software.
If you’re worried that someone might have installed spy software on
your phone, it offers a clear, reassuring way to sniff it out.
The app offers a list of programmes running on the device, and a clear, colour-coded indicator if it’s been jailbroken or not.
